Timeslips only calculates interest on invoices so in order to calculate interest on those expenses you would need to bill them.

If you are billing the client for interest that you have paid it seems like you would know the exact amount and could just enter an additional expense slip for that amount at the end of the case.

Is there any way to charge interest on an ongoing basis per slip rather than based on an invoice and printing date? We are a law firm that typically racks up substantial expenses in the months or years that a case is litigated. We don't generate an invoice until a case settles or is resolved at trial. However, we are entitled by our fee contract with clients to pass along the interest that we pay on money borrowed to finance case expenses. Thus, I'd like to be able to charge interest on each expense from the date that expense slip is generated until the time that an invoice is generated upon resolution of a case. Can Timeslips handle this?

My best advise for Sage Timeslips 2011 is STAY AWAY! I have been trying to get it to upgrade from my 2005 version, through Sage and through a consultant for 6WEEKS and it still does not work. I wish I had bought something else. Nearly $1000 and I have sh**.

Thanks! You'd think that for $700, a Timeslips customer would not have to go searching for help with something that seems so basic. This was driving me nuts!
